During this initial stage of development and fundraising the WABI management will be conducting workshops, seminars and informational meetings at locations throughout Washington County. The 3 goals we have set out for these events are:
(Introducing the concept and services provided by the incubator and how individuals and the community can be involved in the WABI)
Identifying Area Business and Entrepreneurial needs
(How the WABI can best meet those needs, through listening sessions, fact finding Q&A's and surveys distribution)
Ideas to Enterprise …. I2E events
(Educational business workshops covering topics focused on ensuring business success, business plans, strategic planning, finance & financing, legal issues, marketing and much more)
If your interested in attending WABI events and would like updates and more information, or if you would like to have a WABI representative make a presentation to your group or organization (click here) and let us know. Or check our calendar for scheduled events.

Business Incubator Tour
January 9, 2018 @ 7:30 am - 9:00 pmFree
Please join us in downtown Washington at the Observer-Reporter printing plant to take a tour of the future home of the Washington Area Business Incubator (WABI) and continue leading the region to a better tomorrow.
We greatly value the opinions of the Washington business community, in particular the members of Washington County Chamber of Commerce, because they provide valuable insight into our local business environment. Washington & Jefferson College has hired consultant Jim Greenwood, a nationally recognized incubator expert, to conduct a survey on the needs of our region’s entrepreneurial community. Your input will help guide program development for the WABI by highlighting service and educational needs as well as business development and partnership opportunities in the Washington region.
We will start with remarks at 8 a.m. by Observer Publishing Company President Tom Northrop followed by a short presentation and Q&A by Jim Greenwood and the Director of Entrepreneurial Studies at Washington and Jefferson College, Max Miller.
This event is complimentary to members of the Chamber. In addition to the tour, enjoy coffee and donuts courtesy
of the Washington Citywide Development Corporation.
